CROSS BORDER MEDIATION

Mediation in an international environment with a focus on Europe & the Middle East, where know-how and tact are required.

CROSS BORDER MEDIATION

(INTERCULTURAL MEDIATION)

Even if you are from the same culture, it is often difficult enough to develop mutual understanding. If you are in an intercultural relationship, added unknown and unfamiliar factors apply. Misunderstandings can be caused by different mentalities and approaches. These misunderstandings can lead to seemingly irrational acts.

I understand how in intercultural relationships problems can emerge and play out. This understanding is the result of my work in the Middle East and my experience on helping many international couples. I can put myself in your position and can offer you an empathetic support.

This includes my willingness to conduct the mediation in the country of the child abduction.

Cross Border Family Mediation with a focus on the Middle East

In the Europe Union alone, every year approximately 140 000 international couples are facing a divorce. Too often children are involved in these affairs. When domestic conflicts escalate it can happen that a parent abducts the children, taking them abroad and causing a disconnection between the children and the remaining parent.

On average, more than one year is needed to solve these cases through legal channels, leaving both the children and the parents with the consequences of a traumatic experience.

If parents, through mediation, are offered a means of achieving an acceptable agreement, finding an honorable and stable solution can be much faster. Mediation is therefore an excellent instrument to support and accompany the parents in their dispute.
